Benjamin James Gluck (also known as Ben Gluck) is an American
director, screenwriter, and head of story. He worked for over a decade
as storyboard artist, a director and head of story at Disney
Animation.Gluck was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Inspired by the
Peanuts comics, Gluck pursued a career in cartooning. He received his
Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Film and Animation from the esteemed
California Institute of the Arts. His student short film Man's Best
Friend, was awarded the esteemed student Academy Award. That film
premiered worldwide in heavy rotation on MTV's network, and received
many top awards in the US and International film circuits and toured
theatrically worldwide in Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation
Festival.Gluck began his career at DreamWorks Feature Animation where
he worked in story on the film, The Prince of Egypt. Shortly after, he
was recruited by Walt Disney Feature Animation, where he worked for
over a decade as part of the story crew. Gluck was the first Head of
Story for Disney-Toon Studios and director of Brother Bear 2 - this
film is Disney's second direct-to-video sequel to have a higher rating
on Rotten Tomatoes than its predecessor. Gluck was Head of Story on
the Tim Burton animated feature film, 9. Ben was also hired by George
Lucas to develop an original animated feature film. Gluck is currently
Head of Story for WildBrain, where he is working with the Charles
Shultz family, on brand new Peanuts holiday specials, for the
